Sermon Preview and Playlist: “God Gave”

Our security and familiarity are toppled. The culture is trying to conform us to their way of thinking and behavior. The odds seem hopelessly stacked against us. What do we do? How must we think? What must we believe? This description is not new. God’s people through the centuries (and many in other parts of the world right now) could describe their own situation the same way. So Daniel’s book is a good word for us in this moment. Read chapter 1 ahead of Sunday, and come ready to hear. The livestream link will be posted on the Heritage Resume page. Listen ahead with our Sunday at Heritage Spotify Playlist.

Shepherding Groups will meet online Sunday afternoon and evening.

As a heads up, going forward we will no longer be sending a second weekly email on Fridays, but we will continue to include reminders and links in the Life in the Body email.

As a reminder, we need to use our available seats as efficiently as possible. If you sit in the Auditorium, please fill in from the front and work to get as many people as possible on each row while still maintaining social distancing. Thank you for being willing to join us in the Overflow in the Fellowship Hall, as needed, or if that venue works better for your family.

During the pandemic, we understand that not everyone can or should join us on site. If you are at high-risk of infection or sick, for example, please plan to stay home. If this Sunday is your first time back, visit Heritage Resume for a summary of what to expect. We’ll continue making a livestream link available during the pandemic.

Hour of Prayer: Thursdays at 7:00 PM

Join us for our Hour of Prayer each Thursday at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. Set a reminder and join us online for an hour with your brothers and sisters. This opportunity is a great blessing and encouragement while things are still not as they used to be. Look for an email each Thursday morning with a link.

Part-time Facilities Assistant

We have an opening for a part-time facilities assistant at Heritage. The approximately 10-hour per week position includes, but is not limited to, cleaning the nursery wing, South Lobby, and main bathrooms. Anyone interested in additional information or applying should contact Aaron Bednarski, our Facilities Manager.

Dear Father, A man died on the street in Minneapolis under the knee of a police officer and we saw it with our eyes. Our nation is in turmoil and our cities are on fire. Oh Lord, there are many emotions we should feel right now: sadness, anger, and grief. There are many things we should pray for this morning—for your justice, your peace, and your healing. There are also many people we should pray for. . . . Keep Reading
