Each year around Thanksgiving and Christmas we take an offering for a special purpose—an opportunity to give above and beyond our normal offering. This year our holiday offering will go to our church staff. God has given us staff that works hard year after year. But this past year of transition has been particularly challenging, and God enabled the staff to be flexible and diligent. This has been a year of significant transition for our church and our staff, and they have willingly put in extra hours, filled in where needed, and done it all with joy, for the benefit of our church. Your lay Elders and Deacons are thankful for the men and women who keep this place running. We love them dearly. This offering is a way to thank and encourage them. Please give generously as God leads you. Simply mark “Holiday Offering” on an offering envelope or select “Holiday Offering” if you give online.

Sunday evening, December 17, at 5:30 p.m., we’ll gather for Carols in the Courtyard. Dress warmly, come ready to sing some of our Christmas favorites, and enjoy hot chocolate and doughnut holes. This informal time is a great opportunity to invite neighbors and friends who need to hear the Good News of Christ’s coming to rescue us from sin. Following the program there will be a kids’ craft that retells the story of Christmas. Invitations will be available at the Welcome Center beginning Sunday, December 3.

All ladies are invited to participate in the next session of our Women’s Ministries Bible Study on Tuesday mornings and evenings beginning January 9. Ladies will work through Jen Wilkin’s study on the book of Hebrews. The morning groups meet from 9:30-11:15 a.m. and the evening groups meet from 7:00-8:45 p.m. A nursery is available for the morning study. Sign up and purchase the study notebook ($2) at the table in the Hudson Road lobby extension beginning Sunday, December 17.

Make your plans to join us for our Christmas Eve Service on Sunday evening, December 24, at 5:30 p.m. We will sing, pray, read Scripture, hear a message from the Word, and celebrate together at the Lord’s Table. It will be a great hour together as we rejoice in our Savior’s birth.

Numbered offering envelopes for the 2017-18 fiscal year are available at the Welcome Center. Only contributions received through our numbered offering envelope system or online are posted to church records. If you are not presently on the envelope system but would like to be, please contact the church office.

Looking for a place to serve and an opportunity to be a blessing? Our nursery is always in need of additional volunteers to work on a rotational basis. If you are willing to assist in this ministry, please contact Barb Illsley to volunteer to serve our children or to get more information on the opportunity.

For organizational and safety purposes, the Children’s Wing restrooms will be reserved for children only on Sunday mornings.

You can give your gifts and offerings to Heritage Bible Church online, if you so choose. We want giving at Heritage to be simple, habitual, and cheerful for our entire church family. We will still take an offering during the worship services, we will still have offering envelopes, and the offering boxes will remain in the lobby. But for some time now a number of you have asked for the option of online giving, and we are happy to provide that for you.

Giving online is easy and allows you to set up automatic recurring contributions and view your complete online giving history from anywhere you have access to the Internet. Simply follow these easy steps:

  1. Click on the Online Giving in the top right corner of this page
  2. Click on the Create Profile button, then
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to create an online profile and to schedule your recurring contributions.

A Frequently Asked Questions document will answer some of the questions you may have. Thank you for your ongoing financial support of Heritage Bible Church!

All regular attenders of HBC who are permanent residents in the Greenville area are encouraged to be included in the HBC database with accurate information. All regular attenders included in our database receive weekly emails and other important information. An electronic directory of names and contact information is available on the member's page of our website and is regularly updated.
