We will have a combined elective hour at 11:00 on Sundays, April 8, 15, 22, & 29. L3inC & SIGMA teens and all younger children will continue their normal gatherings, but adults will meet together in the Fellowship Hall for a four-week seminar – “What Is the Church Up To?” Abe Stratton will lead us, and each week will focus on a different question.
- Why are we here?
- What are we called to do?
- How do we do it?
- Where do we do it?
Each week we’ll dive into the Word, huddle up for small group discussion about those passages, and then reassemble for some teaching. Recordings of the seminar sessions are available on the Church Life page.
MEMBERSHIP MATTERS CLASS
Saturday, April 28, we will have a special Membership Matters class from 8:00 a.m. until noon. Normally, this is a multi-week class, but we are offering a one-morning opportunity for those who missed our winter Membership Matters elective and desire to pursue membership at Heritage. Several staff and lay Elders will lead the class and introduce participants to the Why, Who, and What of the Heritage Family. If you plan to attend, please sign up at the Welcome Center by April 22 or email the church office.
Sunday, April 29, at 5:30 p.m. is our next Family Meeting. Members, make your plans to participate as we sing, hear a Story of Grace, and welcome new members. Members will also be asked to vote on two missions items. Details can be found on the members page.
Looking for a place to serve and an opportunity to be a blessing? Our nursery is always in need of additional volunteers to work on a rotational basis. If you are willing to assist in this ministry, please contact Barb Illsley to volunteer to serve our children or to get more information on the opportunity.
CHILDREN’S WING RESTROOM
For organizational and safety purposes, the Children’s Wing restrooms will be reserved for children only on Sunday mornings.
You can give your gifts and offerings to Heritage Bible Church online, if you so choose. We want giving at Heritage to be simple, habitual, and cheerful for our entire church family. We will still take an offering during the worship services, we will still have offering envelopes, and the offering boxes will remain in the lobby. But for some time now a number of you have asked for the option of online giving, and we are happy to provide that for you.
Giving online is easy and allows you to set up automatic recurring contributions and view your complete online giving history from anywhere you have access to the Internet. Simply follow these easy steps:
- Click on the Online Giving in the top right corner of this page
- Click on the Create Profile button, then
- Follow the onscreen instructions to create an online profile and to schedule your recurring contributions.
A Frequently Asked Questions document will answer some of the questions you may have. Thank you for your ongoing financial support of Heritage Bible Church!
All regular attenders of HBC who are permanent residents in the Greenville area are encouraged to be included in the HBC database with accurate information. If you are new to Heritage and consider this your church home or if your contact information has changed, please complete a green information form found at the Welcome Center. All regular attenders included in our database receive weekly emails and other important information. An electronic directory of names and contact information is available on the member's page of our website and is regularly updated.
If you are interested in becoming a member of Heritage Bible Church, please pick up a packet of information at the Welcome Center, complete the application, and return it through the offering or at the Welcome Center. Participation in the Membership Matters class is also a part of the membership process.
